Layer of Potato Slices and Ham

Delicious bed of potato slices that give a different presentation to the traditional side dish of mashed potatoes or baked potatoes.

4 potatoes
1 cup cream
1 cup cheese
1 cup deli ham, chopped
1 tablespoon breadcrumbs

Steam the potatoes.
Peel the potatoes.
Cut the potatoes into not-too-thick slices.
Arrange the potato slices in a glass baking dish until the base is covered.
Add a portion of cream on top of the potatoes to form the second layer.
Add a portion of chopped ham to form the third layer. Season with salt and pepper.
Add cheese to form the fourth layer.
Continue this way until the entire baking dish is covered with layers, trying to make the last layer cheese.
Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle the breadcrumbs on the last layer.
Place the baking dish in the microwave until the cheese melts and browns.
Cut into squares, lift the portions with a spatula and serve.
