Layer of Potato Slices and Ham

Delicious bed of potato slices that give a different presentation to the traditional side dish of mashed potatoes or baked potatoes.

  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 cup cheese
  • 1 cup deli ham, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • salt

  • Steam the potatoes.
  • Peel the potatoes.
  • Cut the potatoes into not-too-thick slices.
  • Arrange the potato slices in a glass baking dish until the base is covered.
  • Add a portion of cream on top of the potatoes to form the second layer.
  • Add a portion of chopped ham to form the third layer. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add cheese to form the fourth layer.
  • Continue this way until the entire baking dish is covered with layers, trying to make the last layer cheese.
  • Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle the breadcrumbs on the last layer.
  • Place the baking dish in the microwave until the cheese melts and browns.
  • Cut into squares, lift the portions with a spatula and serve.
