Potato Gratin

Delicious baked potatoes soaked in milk and topped with cheese.

  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

  • Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
  • In a small pot, heat the milk with the garlic cloves, nutmeg, and thyme until it boils. Remove from heat.
  • Grease a Pyrex dish and place a layer of potatoes. Cover with 1/3 of the milk and 1/3 of the cheese, repeat with another layer of potatoes and continue for 3 layers.
  • Bake the potatoes for 50 minutes or until they are well cooked and the cheese is golden brown.
