Potato Pie

This potato pie is not only easy to make but also delicious, with a good presentation that will captivate even the most demanding palates. The combination of potato, cheese, and spices in this recipe is very rich. It can be served as a main dish or as a side, you decide.

  • 600 grams potato
  • 150 grams onion
  • 1 bunch chives
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg powder
  • 30 grams unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 90 grams Gouda cheese, grated
  • 30 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 parsley , (sprigs)
  • 1 pinch salt

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Boil the potatoes with their skins for 20 minutes in salted water.
  • Peel the onions, cut them into quarters, and then into strips.
  • Wash and slice the chives into thin rounds and beat them with the eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Peel the potatoes, slice them, and brown them along with the onion strips in a mixture of butter and oil for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour everything into a mold and add the egg mixture. Stir both cheeses and distribute them on top.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes.
