Rice a la Veracruzana

Recipe from the lands of Veracruz, a delicious rice style from the port of Veracruz with vegetables, very tasty.

  • 1 teaspoon parsley , chopped
  • 750 grams peas
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 3 carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 glass chicken broth
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion, small
  • 1 pinch salt

  • Use a non-stick pot so that the rice doesn’t stick.
  • Fry the rice until it turns golden.
  • Blend the tomato, onion, and garlic with a little water. Pour over the rice.
  • Season with salt and pepper. If you prefer, you can also add a Knorr Swiss cube.
  • Add the chicken broth to the rice and vegetables. If needed, you can add more water, but you only need to cover the rice.
  • Let it cook until the water evaporates.
