Lentils with Rice

  • 250 grams lentil legumes La Asturiana®
  • 200 grams rice legumes La Asturiana®
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • vegetable oil, and salt

  • In a pot, we make a sofrito with onion, green pepper, carrot, tomato, and garlic. Everything well chopped.
  • We add water to the sofrito and we can throw in ham bones for flavor. We put it on the heat for 10 minutes.
  • When the broth thickens, we add the lentils and let it cook before adding the rice.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • We let everything simmer for 20 minutes and our lentils with rice are ready.
