  • 500 grams short grain white rice, rinsed
  • 500 milliliters water
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • Wash the rice until the water runs clear.
  • Put the rice and water in a pot over high heat until it boils.
  • Reduce heat and cover.
  • Cook for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
  • In a pot, mix the vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  • Add the vinegar mixture to the rice and stir.
