Broccoli is one of the most nutritious vegetables, and steaming it helps retain the most nutrients. This recipe is prepared with a spicy oil and crispy slices of garlic.
PREPARE THE SPICY OIL. In a small skillet, cook the oil, garlic, and dried chili powder over medium-high heat. Stir frequently to prevent burning until the garlic is golden, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and strain the oil. Reserve the oil and the garlic with chili separately.
COOK THE BROCCOLI. Place 2.5 cm of water in a large pot and set a steamer basket inside. Bring the water to a boil, and when boiling, add the broccoli pieces to the pot to steam. Cook until tender, 4-6 minutes.
PREPARE THE DISH. Place the hot broccoli on a serving platter. Drizzle with the reserved oil (you can save the rest for use in another dish) and sprinkle with the reserved golden garlic and dried chili.
