Strips with Cream in the Mexican Style

Strips with cream is the classic accompaniment of traditional taquizas, where Mexican recipes are cooked that can be eaten in tacos. Perfect to accompany meat or fish.

  • 1 kilo Poblano chile
  • 1 onion, white
  • 2 cups whole cream
  • 1 tablespoon chicken broth
  • ears salt, to taste
  • white vinegar

  • Place the poblano peppers over the fire until the skin is completely charred. Once they are black, place them inside a bag, close the bag, and let them steam for 10 minutes. Remove the peppers from the bag and peel them.
  • Open the peppers and remove all the seeds and veins.
  • Place the peppers in white vinegar for 30 minutes to reduce their spiciness.
  • Pour 2 tablespoons of oil into a skillet and cook the previously sliced onion until golden brown. Add the chicken broth and continue cooking.
  • Cut the pepper into strips and add it to the onion. Cook for 5 minutes and add the cream. Cook for 10 more minutes.
