Tortillas

Delicious tortillas filled with fresh cheese in red sauce that have been passed down from generation to generation. Kids love it, it's delicious, you have to try it.

  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 4 egg whites, to the turrón point
  • 350 grams queso fresco, fresh cheese, ranchero, or any kind that doesn't melt
  • 1 can tomato purée
  • onions, chopped, to taste

  • Cut the cheese into strips and place it inside the tortilla, making sure it doesn't spill out.
  • Once finished, prepare the egg whites to the turrón point and heat in a skillet with as much oil as you deem necessary.
  • Dip the tortilla in the egg to the turrón point until well covered and drain one by one. Place them on a napkin to remove excess grease.
  • In a pot, place a teaspoon of oil and sauté the onion in half-moons or chopped. Once it is golden, pour in the tomato puree, add water and season to taste.
  • When the tomato broth starts to boil, begin to immerse the tortillas (tortillas) into the sauce, let it boil; you can serve it with rice and beans.
