Sweet and Sour Peppers

These sweet and sour peppers taste great, they take a long time to prepare but the result is worth it. I totally recommend them.

  • 1 kilo red bell pepper
  • 1/2 kilos brown sugar
  • 1 glass vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • guindilla peppers, to taste

  • Roast the peppers. Place them in a plastic bag, let them sweat for 15 minutes, and remove the skin under a stream of cold water.
  • Put the vinegar, sugar, salt, and chili peppers in a large saucepan over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add the peeled and sliced peppers to the mixture. Stir well and let it simmer for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat until it has a jam-like consistency. Serve as a side dish.
