Sweet and Sour Peppers

1 kilo red bell pepper
1/2 kilos brown sugar
1 glass vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
guindilla peppers, to taste

Roast the peppers. Place them in a plastic bag, let them sweat for 15 minutes, and remove the skin under a stream of cold water.
Put the vinegar, sugar, salt, and chili peppers in a large saucepan over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the peeled and sliced peppers to the mixture. Stir well and let it simmer for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat until it has a jam-like consistency. Serve as a side dish.
