Creamed Spinach

This is an excellent side dish as it is very easy to prepare and pairs well with any type of meat; in my case, I served it with a BBQ rib on my birthday.

  • 1 kilo spinach
  • 1/4 bacon, bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 175 grams sour cream
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper, to taste

  • Boil a pot of water with salt, wash and disinfect the spinach, and remove the leaf's rib.
  • Finely chop the garlic and onion into small cubes, then the bacon.
  • Chop the washed, disinfected, and drained spinach, and place it in the pot with salted water for no more than 2 minutes. Remove from the water with a strainer and let it drain.
  • Sauté the bacon in a hot skillet to release the fat, then add the onion, and when it becomes transparent, add the garlic and sauté for 2 more minutes.
  • Add the spinach and cream, stir well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
