How to cook vegetables?

  • water
  • salt
  • pumpkin, in cubes
  • broccoli, in florets
  • potato, in cubes
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
Preparation

  • Heat water in a pot over medium heat until it boils, then add salt and zucchini, cook for 8 minutes. Remove the vegetables and place them in a bowl with ice to prevent overcooking.
  • To cook broccoli: repeat the above procedure, but add a little baking soda and stop the cooking in a bowl with ice.
  • To cook potatoes: repeat the above procedure and cook for 15 to 18 minutes, depending on the use and consistency you require. Stop the cooking in a bowl with water and ice. Check the cooking of the potatoes by inserting a knife; if it goes in and out easily, the potato is ready.
