Mushrooms in Cream

Delicious quick and easy side dish. Perfect to accompany a main course or to place inside a sandwich. It also works great as a filling for canapés or snacks.

  • 1 1/2 cups button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup tomato purée
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped
  • chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, to taste

  • In a skillet, heat the butter and sauté the onion until it becomes transparent.
  • Add the flour until it takes on a golden color.
  • Incorporate the mushrooms, tomato puree, and chipotle. Cover and let cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
  • Add the cream, mix well. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. Let it come to a boil and remove from heat.
