Chicken Asopao

  • 1 chicken breast, chicken, cut into pieces and skinless
  • 1/2 cups green bell pepper, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 green onion, medium chopped into small pieces
  • 7 sprigs fresh cilantro, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped into small pieces

  • black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 ounces smoked ham, chopped into cubes
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 cup rice
  • 7 cups water of roses
  • green olives, stuffed

  • Season the chicken with a little salt and pepper.
  • In a pot, heat the oil over medium heat.
  • Add and mix the green pepper, onion, cilantro, garlic, oregano, and ham.
  • Cook until they are cooked, but not browned.
  • Add the tomato sauce and mix well.
  • Add the pieces of chicken, cover them with the mixture, and cook until the chicken is browned.
  • Add the water and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
  • Add the rice and cook for 25 minutes.
  • Serve in a deep plate with stuffed olives, slices of pepper, or avocado.
