Cornfield Soup

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 2 zucchinis, quartered
  • 1 chayote , medium cubes
  • 1 ear corn, tender, the kernels
  • 2 carrots, small cubes
  • 10 cups Knorr® granulated chicken bouillon
  • 2 leaves epazote, washed and disinfected
  • 1 cup chard , chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon small pepper

  • In a hot pot, place the garlic and onion, let them change color a bit, and add the zucchini, chayote, corn kernels, and carrot.
  • Add the chicken broth, cook for a while, add the epazote, Swiss chard, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix well and cook until boiling so that the flavors blend perfectly.
  • Serve hot.
