Lentil Cream

Lentil cream is such an easy recipe to make that you will want to prepare it often. We recommend cooking lentil cream on cold or rainy days. In addition to being a delicious preparation, it is a very healthy dish.

  • 2 cubes Knorr Tomate® tomato bouillon
  • 2 cups lentils, cooked
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Maizena® cornstarch
  • 4 cups low-fat milk
  • 2 corn tortillas, cut into strips and baked
  • 1/2 cups white onion , cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • Sauté the onion and garlic in oil.
  • Add the lentils and cook for a few minutes.
  • Blend the lentils with the milk.
  • Strain the mixture and return to heat.
  • Season with Knorr® Tomato Seasoning.
  • Dissolve Maizena® Regular Corn Starch in ¼ cup of water.
  • Add the Maizena® to the lentils and mix.
  • Let it boil to season.
