Pea Soup with Vegetables

This delicious pea soup is a mix of various vegetables with peas and smoked ham.

  • 450 grams frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 turnips, peeled and chopped
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 2 sprigs celery
  • 1 onion, medium chopped
  • 250 grams smoked ham
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper

  • In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat and sauté the turnip, carrots, celery, and onion for 10 minutes. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
  • Add the peas, ham, water, salt, and pepper and continue cooking until it boils.
  • Reduce the heat, cover, and let the soup cook for 45 minutes.
  • Blend the soup in batches and return to the pot. Serve.
