1 cup American cheese, shredded
1 cup bacon, in thin strips

On a cutting board, peel the potatoes and cut them into medium cubes.
Place in a pot with water and cook for 15 minutes.
Add the onion, garlic, milk, and season with salt to the pot. Cook for 10 minutes. Add the yellow cheese, and when it melts, remove from heat.
Blend everything for 5 minutes until you have a smooth cream. Set aside.
In a skillet, cook the bacon for 5 minutes or until golden. Place on a plate with paper towels and set aside.
Serve the soup in a deep plate and garnish with bacon, yellow cheese, and parsley leaves.
