Sour and Spicy Soup

This recipe is a great soup for seafood lovers, complemented with chili and lime to give a spicy and sour flavor to the palate. Perfect to start the meal before pairing it with your other dishes.

  • 8 cups fish broth
  • 4 slices ginger, skinless
  • 10 shiitake mushrooms, dehydrated, rehydrated, and chopped
  • 5 dried árbol chiles, sliced
  • 12 medium-sized shrimp, peeled, with heads
  • 2 slices celery, washed, disinfected, and in medium cubes

  • Boil the broth in a pot with the ginger, dehydrated mushrooms, and chilies for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the pot from the heat.
  • Add the mushrooms and shrimp.
  • Allow the shrimp to cook with the heat of the broth and the mushrooms to rehydrate.
  • Serve hot with a bit of celery.
