  • Cut the Swiss chard into small pieces and set aside.
  • Cut the potato and carrot into cubes.
  • Cut the bacon into one-centimeter pieces.
  • Slice the garlic and onion thinly.
  • Add the margarine to the pot, then add the onion and garlic. Sauté well and add the bacon. Once it starts to brown, add the potato and carrot until they are well sautéed.
  • Add the water and the broth with salt to the pot; stir the ingredients well. Let it boil for 20 minutes and add the Swiss chard. Cover the pot again and let it boil until the vegetables are cooked.
  • Enjoy hot with lemon.
