Cabbage Soup

Cabbage soup is ideal for those of us on a diet as it is low in calories, and it is also delicious.

  • 1/2 heads cabbage
  • 6 onions, diced
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 cans tomato
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 100 grams button mushrooms, chopped
  • 4 sprigs celery
  • 4 tablespoons dry chicken broth or bouillon
  • 1 can tomato purée
  • garlic pieces Mccormick®

  • In a large pot, sauté the onion in 1 tablespoon of oil for 5 minutes.
  • Add all the diced vegetables to the pot along with the tomato puree.
  • Add 12 cups of water and bring to a boil for 1 hour or until the cabbage is very tender.
