Warm Pea Soup

This soup is a classic that everyone loves and warms us on a cold day. A very nice recipe for your kids to eat vegetables.

  • 2 cups peas, or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 carrots, finely chopped
  • 2 sprigs celery
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 leaf bay
  • pepper , to taste

  • In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the carrots, celery, and onion, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add the peas, water, bay leaf, salt, and pepper, and continue heating until it boils.
  • Reduce to low heat, cover the pot, and cook for 45 minutes.
  • Remove the bay leaf from the soup and serve.
