Heat the milk.

While the milk is heating, melt the butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add the flour, stir with a wooden spoon mixing well and trying to dissolve any lumps that may appear.

Set the pan to low temperature and add the hot milk while stirring with a wooden spoon.

Bring to a boil while continuously stirring until you achieve a smooth and creamy sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well and remove from heat.
