How to make homemade ketchup

For this recipe you will need the following ingredients:

Place the tomatoes, garlic, onion, bell pepper, and salt in the blender or food processor.

Blend until achieving a smooth texture. If necessary, do it in two parts.

Pour into a saucepan over low heat, well covered, for 10 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.

Take some of the mixture and return it to the blender.

Add sugar, honey, and vinegar. Blend until all ingredients are incorporated.

Return to the saucepan and add the clove broken in half, the cinnamon, and let it simmer for another 10 minutes or until the mixture reduces considerably and has the desired texture. This will depend on the water content of the tomatoes.

Remove the pieces of cinnamon and clove.

Let it rest, and once cooled, pour into a container. Cover it and leave it in the refrigerator for a day before consuming. This homemade ketchup should be stored in the refrigerator.
