We all love our food to be nutritious and delicious, and spices give us that special touch. I’ll share my secret with you, so that you can prepare your own spices at home in a very economical way and invent your own combinations.
Wash the herbs and let them drain, preferably overnight.

If the herbs have large leaves, separate the leaves from the roots. If they are small, make small bunches, loose enough to allow air to circulate between them. Place the herbs on a tray, without overlapping, and preferably using a rack.

The electric or gas oven will be very useful, but the temperature must not exceed 50°C. Leave them in the oven with the door slightly open (no more than 5 cm); the spices will be dry in a few hours. The leaves will be dry when they break easily when bent slightly.

Once you have the dried herbs, you can store them separately or mix them with salt, pepper, garlic, or onion powder. The best way to store your spices is in jars, preferably dark or covered with decorative cloth, to preserve all their properties; as light can alter their aromas and flavors.
