How to achieve the ideal baking

Nowadays, there are different types of ovens: convection, steam, infrared, etc., which have the advantage of maintaining an exact temperature. But there are still many of us who have traditional ovens; that's why I'm sharing my tips for achieving the ideal baking.

Buy a thermometer to control the exact temperature required by your recipe. The price ranges around 200 pesos; it will be a small investment, but with a great benefit.

Renew the sealing gaskets of your oven door to help maintain the temperature.

If you are baking batters for cakes, cupcakes, or similar items, your batter will need moisture, so place a container with enough water on the lowest rack of your oven while baking. The water will start to evaporate and provide the moisture your batter requires.

An almost obvious detail, but one that often contributes to the failure of our baking, is using expired ingredients. Always check them before using.

If your baking requires aluminum foil, remember that the dull side absorbs external temperatures while the shiny side repels them. You should cover the food with the shiny side facing inward.

Always keep track of the time, whether with a clock, timer, or phone; never let your guard down.
