How to Make Popcorn on the Stove

Popcorn is a delicious and very healthy snack, but often the microwaveable versions contain large amounts of salt or fat. Make your own popcorn at home and treat your family to a much healthier snack.

To make popcorn you need:

Place the coconut oil in a pan or pot over low heat, and wait for it to completely melt.

After 1 or 2 minutes, test with some kernels. If bubbles form around them, the oil is ready.

Add the rest of the kernels and shake the pan to coat them completely with the oil.

Put on the lid and wait for them to start popping. Do not remove the lid or your kitchen will end up filled with popcorn.

Add a little salt or your favorite spice, for example: sugar with cinnamon, for a sweeter version of this delicious snack.
