Sushi is very easy to make and can become an activity for the whole family, as everyone can prepare the roll they like best. But rolling it properly may seem difficult; with this step-by-step guide, you will learn to roll sushi like a Japanese.
Place the seaweed on a sushi mat (made of bamboo sticks tied together), with the rice and ingredients. If you prefer, you can cover the mat with a plastic bag to prevent the rice from getting stuck between the sticks.
2
Take the edge where the ingredients are arranged and close it.
3
Continue with the process, rolling the rest of the roll, using the mat to tighten it and prevent the seaweed from sticking to your hands.
4
Finish rolling.
5
Once finished, place the entire roll back inside the mat and press to avoid it coming apart when cutting, you can shape your rolls however you like, square or round.
6
Cut the edge of the roll and then cut the roll into pieces, all of the same thickness. Serve.
