Follow this simple step-by-step guide; these ornaments are very easy to make and the best part is that they are very economical. You only need 6 materials to create a very original ornament.
Cut strips of black foam that are 2 cm wide; if the Styrofoam ball is very large, it's advisable to buy a sheet of foam to ensure it wraps around.
3
Cut a 4cm x 4cm square of silver foam and lightly cut along two sides with a cutter.
4
Insert the black foam strip into the square to form the belt.
5
Place a white sheet over the red foam, and iron until the foam starts to curl. Tip: The iron should be set to a high temperature to facilitate ironing.
6
Place the foam over the Styrofoam ball and stretch it as much as possible until it takes the shape of a semicircle.
7
Trim the excess and repeat the procedure.
8
Glue the semicircle with hot glue, making sure to perfectly cover the Styrofoam ball.
9
Glue the black strip in the middle of the Styrofoam ball to simulate the belt, trimming the excess.
10
Insert the hook for ornaments into the middle of the sphere.
11
You can glue the hook with a bit of hot glue and tie a ribbon to hang it on your tree.
