How many times do we look at clothing labels before washing them? The reality is that we rarely take the precaution to read the label, which indicates the specific care each garment requires. This is the washing symbol and can refer to machine or hand washing. The numbers written inside the tub indicate the maximum temperature.

For example, here the maximum temperature is 95º. Recommended for white cotton clothes (sheets, towels, and tablecloths).

If a maximum temperature of 60º is indicated, it is for cotton garments, colored clothing, work clothes, pajamas, etc.

This icon refers to garments that must be hand washed at a maximum temperature of 30º. These types of garments should not be rubbed or twisted. For example; wool garments, stockings, and fine lingerie.

This symbol refers to chlorine. In bleaching with bleach, no levels are indicated, only whether the item can be treated with chlorine or not.

This is the symbol indicating that the garment should not be washed with bleach.

This icon refers to garments that must be taken to the dry cleaner.

This indicates that the garment should not be taken to the dry cleaner.

This symbol means that the garment can be ironed. The dots inside indicate the maximum ironing temperature. These dots also appear on most irons sold in the market.

This icon indicates that the garment can be ironed at high temperature: maximum 200ºC. For cotton, linen, etc.

This is the dryer icon. It indicates that the garment can be dried in the dryer.
