Ingredients

15 portions
  • 2 cups flour, for the mass
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast, for the mass
  • 1 3/4 cups whole milk, for the mass
  • 3/4 cups sugar, for the mass
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt, for the mass
  • 1/4 cups butter, for the mass
  • vegetable oil, to fry
  • 1 cup cream cheese, for the frosting
  • 1/4 cups goat cheese, for the frosting
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, for the frosting
  • 1/2 cups walnuts, for the frosting
  • 1/4 cups powdered sugar, for the frosting
  • 1/2 cups whipping cream, for the frosting
  • 1 cup pomegranate, to decorate

Preparation

In a blender and with the help of the hook tool, mix the flour with the yeast, milk, sugar and salt until it is a good consistency. Add the butter and continue kneading for 15 more minutes, or until smooth.
Place the dough in a previously greased bowl and cover with plastic film, let it rest for 1 hour until doubled.
Put the dough and flour a surface; on it, spread the dough with the help of a rolling pin, with a thickness of 1 cm wide and then cut large circles with a smaller one in the center to form the donuts. Transfer to a tray and let it rest for only 10 minutes.
Heat enough oil in a pot and fry each donut for 5 minutes, do not forget to turn and bathe the donut with oil. Remove and place on a tray with absorbent paper to drain excess fat.
To make the nogada glaze, blend the cream cheese with the goat cheese, vanilla, icing sugar, walnut and whipping cream.
Bathe the nogada donuts and decorate with pomegranate.

PRESENTATION

TIPS

The consistency of the frosting should be semi-thick for best results. Chill the donuts after you have decorated them to keep the frosting.
