Ingredients

8 portions
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 on dry yeast, 11 grams
  • 3 teaspoons McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Mccormick® ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon zest, tangerine
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest
  • enough milk, to varnish
  • enough butter, melted
  • enough sugar, to sprinkle
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream, to fill
  • to taste chocolate syrup, to fill

Preparation

In a bowl mix the flour, sugar, salt, yeast, McCormick® Ground Cinnamon, McCormick® Ground Nutmeg, add the egg, butter, milk, the mandarin zest, the orange and knead until integrated and have a soft and elastic dough.
Place the dough in a previously greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and ferment for 2 hours, that is, let it rest during this time, or until the dough doubles in volume.
On a floured surface, scoop out portions of the dough, approximately 80 grams each; With the help of your hands, form balls and place on a tray leaving a space of 5 cm.
Separate thin strips of dough and with the help of your fingers, form the bones marking them when kneading it; Place on the balls already rounded in the shape of a cross. Varnish with milk and ferment for 20 minutes.
Bake at 180 ° C for 25 minutes. Let cool and reserve.
Varnish the bread pieces with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Reservation.
Cut the bread in half and fill with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.
Serve with a glass of milk.

TIPS

To make the dough ferment faster, you can heat the oven, turn it off and put the dough in the oven at a temperature between 28 and 32 ° C.
