Get ready to try the most delicious kings thread, with this super original recipe, filled with strawberry jam with cream cheese. This rosca recipe is a traditional Mexican bread that is eaten on January 6, but with a fun and fruity touch.   • 4 cups flour, for the mass
  • 1/2 cups sugar, for the mass
  • 11 grams yeast, for the mass
  • 1/2 cups milk, for the mass
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the mass
  • 4 eggs, for the mass
  • enough orange, for the mass
  • 1 cup butter, cold and cut into medium cubes
  • enough egg, to varnish
  • 1 cup flour, for the scab
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for the scab
  • 1 cup butter, for the scab
  • enough vegetal color additive, scab rose
  • 1 cup walnut, finely chopped
  • 2 cups cream cheese, for the filling
  • 1/2 cups powdered sugar, for the filling
  • 1 cup Mermelada Smucker´s®, strawberry for filling


For the dough, beat the flour, sugar, yeast, milk, salt, eggs, orange zest and butter, knead until it has a homogeneous and firm consistency. Place on a previously greased bowl, cover with non-stick plastic and ferment for 2 hours, that is, let stand until it doubles in volume.
For the crust, beat the flour, glass sugar and butter at high speed until it integrates, add the pink vegetable coloring and reserve.
Poach the dough and on a floured surface, spread and form a roll, join the ends, place in a tray, varnish with egg and let stand for 15 minutes.
Place the crust on the thread, then the nuts and bake for 25 minutes at 180 ° C. Let cool and reserve.
For the filling, beat the cream cheese with the glass sugar until it has a homogeneous mixture.
Cut the thread in half and fill with cream cheese and Strawberry Smucker´s® Jam.


On a plate accompanied by table chocolate.
