  • 1 cup milk, warm
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest
  • 6 Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup butter, for the crust
  • 1 cup flour, for the crust
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for the crust
  • 16 Oreo cookies, to fill

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C.
In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and let it rest for 10 minutes.
For the dough, beat the flour with the sugar, the salt, add the hydrated yeast and the eggs one by one. Once it is completely mixed, add the butter, the orange zest and continue kneading until it has a homogeneous dough.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and let stand for 1 hour or until it doubles its volume.
Place the cookies in a resealable bag and, with a rolling pin, grind to a fine powder.
For the crust, beat the butter with the powdered sugar, the flour and the crushed oreos.
To form he crust of the conchas by placing a ball of the oreo dough between two pieces of plastic, and extend it and flatten it with a roller. Refrigerate until use.
Once the dough is fermented, weigh 60 gram balls, roll and insert an oreo biscuit. Continue shaping until the cookie is covered with dough.
Place the conchas on a greased and floured tray. Place the crust of oreo on top and mark with a knife or shell cutter. Ferment about 15 minutes more.
Bake for 15 minutes, remove from the oven and cool.

TIPS

The cookies give a crunchier texture to the crust. It is important that when you add the cookie to the dough, shape the dough carefully so as not to break the dough and achieve a good fermentation. If you want to accelerate the process of hydration of the yeast, add a spoonful of flour and a spoonful of sugar along with the warm milk.
