This version of the traditional Rosca de Reyes is ideal if you ran out of flour or want to give a different flavor to the bread. Use hot cakes flour instead of regular flour and enjoy a new way of eating this rich bread.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1.300 kilos of Flour for Gamesa® Hot Cakes
  • 12 grams of active yeast
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 120 milliliters of milk
  • 10 grams of lemon zest and orange
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 grams of Butter
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 1 egg
  • candied lemon peel Red and green
  • crystallized figs
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 1 egg to varnish

    Preparation

    Pour 12 grams of fresh yeast into 120 milliliters of milk.
    Mix on an extended and clean surface 1,300 or 1,500 kg of Gamesa® Hot Cakes with 100 grams of sugar.
    Add 3 eggs and mix with your hands until everything is integrated. Add 5 ml of vanilla essence.
    Incorporate the milk with yeast, the 200 grams of ointment butter, the grated orange 1 and 1 lemon. And if necessary, more flour until the dough does not stick.
    Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Meanwhile, place a little oil in a container and put the dough inside. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes until it doubles its size.
    Shape the thread with your hands. Enter the number of dolls you want.
    For the sugar cap: Mix 50 grams of butter, 50 grams of sugar, 50 grams of flour and 10 grams of egg. Place the pasta inside a pastry bag.
    Decorate the thread with the pasta, nuts and cherries in syrup. Varnish with a beaten egg and add mashed sugar over the strips that you made with the sugar paste.
    Bake for 30 minutes at approximately 180 ° C.
