Eggs drowned is an easy and delicious recipe from the traditional Mexican recipe, they are fried eggs cooked in a red tomato sauce. Perfect for a delicious breakfast on the weekend.

Ingredients

2 portions
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/4 white onions
  • 1/2 jalapeno Peppers
  • to taste chicken bouillon
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 4 slices ham
  • 3 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Chop the ham, onion, tomato and chili. Fry everything in a hot pan with a little oil.
Season with chicken and pepper consommé to taste.
Add the water and leave over medium heat until it starts to boil.
Add the eggs one by one without breaking the yolk. Tip: first break the eggs on a plate to verify that they are in good condition.
Boil for 15 minutes over medium heat and serve immediately.

PRESENTATION

Accompany with flour or corn tortillas.

TIPS

Substitute bacon or sausage for the ham.
