Ingredients

6 portions
  • 175 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 300 milliliters milk
  • 75 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • honey, jam, dried fruit, sweet cream or ice cream (optional)

Preparation

In a bowl, put the flour, baking powder and powdered sugar, and make a hole in the center. Pour the milk, the butter, the vanilla and the yolks inside, beat and gradually integrate the flour.
Preheat the waffle maker or the iron. Beat the egg whites until stiff in a bowl and add the liquid dough with a metal spoon.
Preheat the oven to 250 f (250 c). Pour a small spoonful of the dough on the hot plate (or the amount recommended by the manufacturer) and spread it close to the edge. Bake until browned.
Serve immediately, with maple syrup jam, sweetened cream, or ice cream. Or keep them hot in the oven in single layer, until everyone is ready.

TIPS

Prepare delicious fresh foods in advance, but you can make waffles 24 hours before and reheat them in a toaster.
