Hotcakes with peaches

These hotcakes have peach halves on top, giving them a totally different and delicious touch. I love to change to the typical. They are served with maple syrup. Ideal for Sundays.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 1 Cup of sour cream
  • 3 spoonfuls of milk
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of vanilla extract
  • 2 spoonfuls of sugar
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg (optional)
  • 3/4 of Cup of flour
  • 1 teaspoonful of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of baking soda
  • 1 piece of peach in slices
  • Butters the needed

    Preparation

    Beat the egg with the sour cream, sugar, vanilla and egg.
    In another bowl stir salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, baking powder and baking soda.
    Mix the dry ingredients with the cream. If the mixture is very thick, add milk, tablespoon per tablespoon.
    Heat a large skillet and put a little butter
    Put the dough of hotcakes and place 2 slices of half peach on top of each hotcake.
    When bubbles come out (after 3-4 minutes), turn over and let brown for 5 minutes.
    Serve hot.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve with hot maple syrup.

    TIPS

    You can light the oven very low and leave those that are ready on a cookie sheet to keep them warm.
