Las Alegrías is a typical Mexican sweet based on amaranth with nuggets, peanuts, raisins and walnuts mixed with a honey of piloncillo, this sweet is very nutritious for the complete nutrimental qualities of amaranth that has been cultivated for more than 8 thousand years.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 of Cup of nugget pumpkin
  • 1/4 of Cup of peanut
  • 1/4 of Cup of raisin
  • 1/4 of Cup of nut
  • 1/8 of Cup of Water for honey
  • 125 grams of piloncillo for honey
  • 1/4 of Cup of honey for honey
  • 3 drops of lemon juice for honey
  • 250 grams of amaranth

    Preparation

    Heat a skillet over low heat and toast the nuggets with peanuts, raisins and walnuts.
    Heat a pot with the water and melt the piloncillo with honey and lemon droplets. Cook until you get a semi thick syrup. Add the amaranth and nuts, mix immediately to absorb the honey.
    Place the hot preparation in metal rings, pressing well to compact. Let cool and unmold. Share
