Las Alegrías is a typical Mexican sweet based on amaranth with nuggets, peanuts, raisins and walnuts mixed with a honey of piloncillo, this sweet is very nutritious for the complete nutrimental qualities of amaranth that has been cultivated for more than 8 thousand years.

Ingredients

14 portions
  • 1/4 cups pumpkin seed, pumpkin
  • 1/4 cups peanut
  • 1/4 cups raisin
  • 1/4 cups walnut
  • 1/8 cups Water, for honey
  • 125 grams piloncillo, for honey
  • 1/4 cups bee honey, for honey
  • 3 drops lemon juice, for honey
  • 250 grams amaranth

Preparation

Heat a skillet over low heat and toast the nuggets with peanuts, raisins and walnuts.
Heat a pot with the water and melt the piloncillo with honey and lemon droplets. Cook until you get a semi thick syrup. Add the amaranth and nuts, mix immediately to absorb the honey.
Place the hot preparation in metal rings, pressing well to compact. Let cool and unmold. Share

Excelente, resulta de muy buen sabor y textura, ojo que el amaranto debe ser inflado, no sirve el amaranto crudo, saludos y éxito al próximo que la haga!
