Ingredients

6 portions
  • 6 apples
  • 1 1/4 cups whipped cream
  • 3/4 cups cranberry juice
  • 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
With a sharp knife or spoon remove the stick from the apples. With a peeler peel the upper third of each apple. Place the apples in a baking dish.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat combine 3/4 cup of cream, cranberry juice, sugar and butter. Cook until it boils.
Pour the sauce over the apples and bake for 1 hour.
When removing the apples from the oven pour the sauce back into the pot and boil for 2-3 minutes or until sauce has become thick. Pour sauce over each apple as well as 1 tablespoon of whipping cream. Serve

PRESENTATION

Decorate apples with cranberries or blackberries of your choice.
