Prepare this cake with layers of almond flavor with vanilla bitumen, it is a perfect dessert to bring to a meal, since it will give a lot of color to that special event. It is a simple recipe, rich and that looks very good.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 6 pieces of egg separated the whites of the yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar half for the yolks and half for the whites
  • 1 tablespoon of almond essence
  • 1/2 bar of Butter at room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups of flour passed through a colander
  • 1/4 of Cup of almond flour passed through a colander
  • 12 vegetable food coloring pink, half for the cake and half for the bitumen
  • 2 bars of Butter at room temperature (for bitumen)
  • 1 Cup of powder sugar (for bitumen)
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla (for bitumen)
  • 2 spoonfuls of whipping cream (for bitumen)

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
    For the cake, beat the yolks with half the sugar at medium speed until they change color and fluff. Add the almond essence and add the butter.
    On the other hand, beat the egg whites with the rest of the sugar until it forms hard peaks. It incorporates the clear ones very well to the previous preparation in an enveloping way. Add the powders and mix very well.
    Divide the mixture into 4 small bowls, add 3 drops of dye to one, 2 to another and 1 to the third and mix very well each to paint, to 4 do not add color. Pour the mixes into cake molds of 22 cm in diameter, previously greased and floured. Bake for 20 minutes or until when inserting a toothpick, it comes out clean. Chills and releases.
    For the bitumen, add the butter with the icing sugar, add the vanilla essence and the cream to beat.
    Divide the bitumen into 4 small bowls and paint one with 3 droplets of dye, another with 2 and the third with 1, leave the room without color. Mix very well. Refrigerate the bitumen 10 minutes before use.
    Coat the cake in layers starting with the darkest color all the way down and ending with the lightest one. Cover with the bitumen using the darkest color and the lightest color to the top.

    PRESENTATION

    Cut a slice and take it out a bit so that when presenting the cake, look inside.

    TIPS

    If the bitumen is too thick you can add an extra teaspoon of whipping cream.
