Ingredients

8 servings
  • 90 grams of cream cheese
  • 1/4 of Cup of milk
  • 2 pieces of egg yolk
  • 1/4 of Cup of sugar
  • 2 pieces of egg white
  • 1/3 of teaspoonful of cream of tartar
  • 3 spoonfuls of flour
  • 1 1/2 spoonfuls of cornstarch

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.
    Line a mold with waxed paper.
    Put the cream cheese and milk over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the cheese melts. Remove from heat and reserve.
    In a medium bowl, beat the egg yolks with half the sugar until light and fluffy. Wrap the cream cheese mixture inside the yolks.
    Sift the flour and cornstarch and stir with the previous mixture until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
    In another bowl and using clean blades, beat the egg whites together with the cream of tartar until they are near snow. Sprinkle the rest of the sugar slowly and continue beating until you get a nougat point. Add the egg whites to the cream cheese mixture. Pour the mixture into the mold and place it inside a deeper baking dish or mold. Put water to the middle of the deep mold.
    Place inside the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 150 ° C and continue cooking for 15 more minutes.
    Allow the cake to cool before removing from the mold.
    Pass a knife around the outer edge of the mold and flip it over a plate so that it comes out.
    Peel off the waxed paper and flip over another plate so that the cake returns to its initial position.

    PRESENTATION

    You can sprinkle some icing sugar at the time of serving.

    TIPS

    You can accompany it with chocolate ice cream.
