This Chocolate Cake with Puff pastry recipe will become one of your favorite easy dessert recipes. It is important that you keep puff pastry refrigerated until ready to use, and spread so that it does not loose its fat.The chocolate cream must be very cold when beating so that it doubles its volume.

  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon powder
  • enough flour, to extend
  • 1 kilo puff pastry
  • 1 cup whipping cream, for chocolate cream
  • 2 cups bitter chocolate, for chocolate cream
  • enough cocoa, to decorate
  • enough raspberry, to decorate
  • enough powdered sugar, to decorate
  • enough peppermint, to decorate


Preheat the oven to 190 °C. (374°F)
Mix the sugar with the cinnamon and set aside.
On a floured surface, spread the puff pastry and cut circles of 25 cm in diameter. Place the discs on a tray suitable for baking and chop the surface with a fork.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, place wax paper and place a tray on top, bake for 15 minutes. Let cool and set aside.
For the filling, heat the whipping cream and bring it to a boil and add the chocolate, mix until it is integrated, let cool and refrigerate until it thickens completely.
Place the previous mixture in the bowl of the blender, and beat until it doubles its volume. Place in a pastry bag.
For the assembly, cover one of the puff pastry disks with the chocolate cream and place another disco on top of it. Repeat until you have 3 floors.
Sprinkle the surface with cocoa, decorate with raspberries, powdered sugar and mint.


Accompanied by a glass of milk.


It is important to keep puff pastry very cold, so when spreading, it does not looses its fat. The chocolate cream must be very cold when whipping so that it doubles its volume.
