Make this delicious Chocolate Donut Cake. Ingredients

10 portions
  • 3/4 cups whipping cream, for coffee cream
  • 4 teaspoons instant coffee, for coffee cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, for coffee cream
  • 1 1/2 cups bitter chocolate, for coffee cream
  • 50 donuts, small, cinnamon
  • 3/4 cups whipping cream, for the cover
  • 1 1/2 cups bitter chocolate, for the cover
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for the cover
  • 1/2 cups bitter chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cups icing, white, to cover
  • enough Coffee grains, to decorate

Preparation

For the coffee cream, heat the cream to beat over medium heat, add the soluble coffee, the cinnamon powder, the bitter chocolate and cook until all the ingredients are dissolved. Place in a bowl and cover with sticky plastic touching the cream, so as not to leave air. Refrigerate until well cooled.
Remove the cream from refrigeration and beat the cream until it forms peaks. Place in a pastry bag with curly piping and set aside.
On a plate, arrange a layer of donuts and cover with the coffee cream. Repeat until you have 3 floors. In the last layer place the rest of the cream and reserve.
For the cover, heat the cream and add the chocolate and butter, mix until incorporated. Cool slightly
Pour the cover over the cake and let it drain around the edges. Let it dry
Decorate some of the remaining donuts with melted chocolate and glaze, place coffee beans and let them dry.
Place the decorated donuts on top and in the center of the cake. Cut and enjoy.

PRESENTATION

On a platter, decorated with glazed donuts, and accompanied by a cup of coffee.

TIPS

It is very important that the coffee cream is very cold so that it forms consistent peaks and stays firm.
