Are you a coffee lover? Then this Chocolate Coffee Flan is perfect for you. Don't worry about where to buy coffee, because for this recipe you only need instant coffee and with it you will get all the coffee flavor you need. This delicious Chocolate Coffee Flan has a creamy and very moist texture. The best thing is that although it looks complicated, it is an easy dessert to prepare and is not very sweet thanks to the flavor of the coffee.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1 Cup of refined sugar for caramel
  • 4 pieces of egg for flan
  • 2 pieces of egg yolk for flan
  • 25 milliliters of milk for flan
  • 190 milliliters of evaporated milk for flan
  • 195 grams of condensed milk for flan
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence for flan
  • 1/3 of Cup of instant coffee for flan
  • 2 pieces of egg for the sweet
  • 8 spoonfuls of sugar for sweet
  • 1 tablespoon of honey for the sweet
  • 4 spoonfuls of vegetable oil for the sweet
  • 1/2 Cup of flour for the sweet
  • 2 spoonfuls of cocoa for the sweet
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of baking powder for the sweet
  • 2 cups of cream cheese for the frosting
  • 3 spoonfuls of whipping cream for the frosting
  • 1/2 Cup of powder sugar for the frosting
  • 1 Cup of chocolate chip to decorate
  • enough of cookie waffle to decorate

    Preparation

    Preheat oven to 160 °C. (320°F)
    For the caramel, in a saucepan over low heat cook the sugar until it forms an amber caramel. Pour into a custard mold and let dry.
    For the flan, in a bowl beat the eggs with the yolks, milk, vanilla and coffee until incorporated.
    In another bowl beat the egg with the sugar and honey, slowly add the oil, add the essence of vanilla, with a strainer sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder.
    On top of the caramel pour the cake mixture place the flan mixture carefully. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a bain-marie for 1 hour 40 minutes. Chill, unmold and refrigerate one hour.
    For the frosting, beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and whipping cream, until soft and fluffy. Decorate the cake with the frosting and place the pecan, chocolate chips and wafers.

    PRESENTATION

    Decorate with cream cheese frosting and wafer cookies, pecans and chocolate chips.

    TIPS

    You can double recipe to make it higher. Unmold the flan when it still lukewarm so the caramel will be easy to release.
