Preparation
For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350ºF or 175ºC.
Sift the flour together with the baking powder
Separate the 6 egg whites and beat to the point of snow
Beat the butter with 1 cup of sugar and the yolks until they are white
Add alternating milk and flour
finally incorporate the egg whites to the snow
Separate the dough into 6 equal portions and put the dyes in each portion: yellow, green, blue, fuchsia, violet and orange
Put in molds of the same size (18 cm in diameter) previously greased and floured each portion.
Bake at 350ºF. until when puncturing with the tip of a knife it comes out dry.
Allow to cool and unmold.
Join each color cake layer according to the order of the colors of the rainbow, with the jams.
Use the pineapple juice for yellow and green colors. Strawberry for fuxia and orange and grape for blue and violet.
To prepare the marshmallow: place the unflavored gelatine in the bowl of the blender with 1/2 cup of water.
Make a honey to soft ball point with water, glucose and sugar.
Turn on the blender and add hot honey to the wire
Beat at high speed and add salt and vanilla
Continue beating until it becomes completely white and takes on the texture of a thick meringue
Immediately cover the cake and with a spoon go forming slings.
