These caramel-covered apples are delicious, easy to make and ideal for children.

Ingredients

20 servings
  • 20 apples criollas, washed and without stem
  • 20 wooden sticks
  • 1 can of milk cream
  • 1 Cup of sugar
  • 1/4 of Cup of corn syrup or maple honey
  • sprinkles to decorate

Preparation

Take each apple and insert a palette stick at the top. Cover a baking tin with butter paper and lightly grease with cooking oil.
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, cream milk (milk), sugar and corn syrup or honey maple. Stir very well with a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are incorporated and cook for ten minutes until the mixture has a caramel color. Continue stirring with the wooden spoon. Remove from heat and pour the hot mixture into a medium bowl.
Dip each apple in the caramel, making sure all sides are well coated.

TIPS

Put the apples on a can covered with butter paper and sprinkle with the colored nuggets that you like the most. Refrigerate for 15 min until caramel hardens.
