Ingredients

10 portions
  • 1 watermelon
  • 1 cantaloupe, cut into balls
  • 1 pineapple, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup strawberry, chopped
  • 1 orange, in slices for the wheels
  • 4 grapes, for the wheels

Preparation

First make a cut on the bottom of the watermelon so that it has a flat part and does not move (you should cut very little only the green / white part).
Arrange the watermelon on a cutting board or a flat, clean surface.
With a knife mark where you will make the first cut of the half lengthwise (only half way), and then up there. You can see photo # 2 to see how it should look.
Once you have the basic form of the cart, now all the fruit must be removed from the center. I do it with a round melon cutter and I scoop watermelon balls (it looks nicer) but it can really be done as you like.
Once the watermelon is clean without filling, a sharp knife is taken and cuts are made in the form of "V" s like this: vvvvvvvvvv to give that texture to all the edges. You can see the original photo to see how it looks.
Then the handle of the trolley of the piece of watermelon that is cut is made. The piece that we removed is put down and sliced as 2 cm thick.
To put it we have to make cuts in "v" as two VV so that it fits with the help of a toothpick in the watermelon.
Then with chopsticks the wheels are placed and held with some grapes (or the fruit you want).
Finally it is filled with the fruit of your taste: watermelon, melon, pineapple, strawberries, etc.
