This Cherry Pie is what in the United States they call a "Cobler" or Fruit Cake. The ideal fruits for this type of cake are seasonal ones.

Preparation
Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
In a large bowl, mix the cherries, raspberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Combine with a wooden spoon.
Pour this mixture into a baking dish of approx. 20 x 20 cm.
In another deep bowl, mix the flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of salt, and the baking powder.
Using your hands, mix the butter with the flour until you get a consistency like wet sand.
Add the half cream and mix well until a dough is obtained.
Put a little flour in your hands and form with the dough 9 squares of approx. 5 cm
Place the squares over the cherry and raspberry mixture.
If you want, you can paint the squares with a little egg and water to make them brown and keep cafes.
Bake the cake until the squares are golden brown, approx. 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool before serving.
