Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of oats (first layer)
  • 1/2 Cup of brown sugar (first layer)
  • 6 spoonfuls of margarine melted (first layer)
  • 1/2 Cup of flour (first layer)
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of baking soda (first layer)
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of Salt (first layer)
  • 1/4 of Cup of margarine melted (second layer)
  • 3/4 of Cup of sugar (Second layer)
  • 3 spoonfuls of cocoa powder (Second layer)
  • 1 piece of egg (Second layer)
  • 2/3 of Cup of flour (Second layer)
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of baking powder (Second layer)
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of Salt (Second layer)
  • 1/4 of Cup of milk (Second layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of vanilla extract (Second layer)
  • 1/2 Cup of nut chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of margarine melted (frosting)
  • 1 1/2 spoonfuls of cocoa powder (frosting)
  • 3/4 of Cup of powder sugar (frosting)
  • 1 tablespoon of milk (frosting)

    Preparation

    First layer: Preheat the oven to 170 ° C. Mix the oats with the sugar. Add the margarine and reserve.
    Mix the flour, baking soda and salt. Add slowly to the oatmeal mixture and stir well. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased mold of approximately 20 cm. Bake for 10 minutes. Take out of the oven.
    Second layer: Mix margarine, sugar and cocoa powder. Beat the eggs. Reserve. Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to the cocoa mixture along with the milk and the vanilla extract, incorporating perfectly. Add the nuts
    Using a spatula, and being careful not to touch the hot edges of the mold, pour the second layer over the first layer and return to the oven. Bake for 25 more minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
    Chocolate Frosting: Mix the margarine and cocoa powder, then slowly add the sugar and milk. Continue stirring until the mixture is easily worked. Expand the frosting over the baked brownies and cut them into approximately 5 cm squares.
