Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats, (first layer)
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar, (first layer)
  • 6 tablespoons margarine, melted (first layer)
  • 1/2 cups flour, (first layer)
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking soda, (first layer)
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt, (first layer)
  • 1/4 cups margarine, melted (second layer)
  • 3/4 cups sugar, (Second layer)
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, (Second layer)
  • 1 egg, (Second layer)
  • 2/3 cups flour, (Second layer)
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking soda, (Second layer)
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt, (Second layer)
  • 1/4 cups milk, (Second layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, (Second layer)
  • 1/2 cups walnut, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon margarine, melted (frosting)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder, (frosting)
  • 3/4 cups powdered sugar, (frosting)
  • 1 tablespoon milk, (frosting)

Preparation

First layer: Preheat the oven to 170 ° C. Mix the oats with the sugar. Add the margarine and reserve.
Mix the flour, baking soda and salt. Add slowly to the oatmeal mixture and stir well. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased mold of approximately 20 cm. Bake for 10 minutes. Take out of the oven.
Second layer: Mix margarine, sugar and cocoa powder. Beat the eggs. Reserve. Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to the cocoa mixture along with the milk and the vanilla extract, incorporating perfectly. Add the nuts
Using a spatula, and being careful not to touch the hot edges of the mold, pour the second layer over the first layer and return to the oven. Bake for 25 more minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Chocolate Frosting: Mix the margarine and cocoa powder, then slowly add the sugar and milk. Continue stirring until the mixture is easily worked. Expand the frosting over the baked brownies and cut them into approximately 5 cm squares.
